Queens University of Charlotte conducted their first annual Leadership Talent Development Conference (LTD) on February 25, 2011. The global economic crisis of 2008-2011 imposed considerable impact on organizational talent. During the crisis of 2008-2011, employees faced a broad range of challenges from joblessness, under-employment and additional work function responsibilities that led organizations to modify recruitment and talent management efforts. At the first annual LTD Conference, Human Resource issues that faced the Charlotte region companies were explored with a learn-and-respond based focus for new strategies affecting top talent retention and growth.
