This report provides measurement of the 2008 economic impacts of the film and video production and distribution industry on the Charlotte regional economy. This regional economy is centered by Charlotte and composed of twelve North Carolina counties and four South Carolina counties. Officially known as the Charlotte USA Region, this 16 county area is one of America’s fastest-growing metropolitan regions and supports a well established and expanding film and video production and distribution industry. The report was sponsored by the Charlotte Regional Partnership and conducted by the Belk College of Business, University of North Carolina Charlotte.
