Description:
The Foundation for the Carolinas (FFTC or the Foundation) established
the Center for Civic Leadership (CCL or the Center) in 2008 to
institutionalize the Foundation’s position as a catalyst in the Charlotte
region for community problem-solving. The Center is charged with
the task of identifying key community challenges, and engaging
Charlotte’s leaders and citizens in the development of possible action
plans to address the challenges for the long‐term betterment of
the community.
The first task of the Center is the establishment of an ongoing and
continuous environmental scan to identify existing and emerging issues
in the community that could benefit from the attention of the engaged
partnership of stakeholders in the Charlotte region.
